YOUR QUESTIONS: |
ANSWERS FROM GRANT MENEFEE: |
I heard that when you take lessons in places like Bill’s Music House, Music and Arts Center or places that I find on the internet, often your teacher stops teaching there after a while.
I have been teaching at my Studio since graduating from Berklee College of Music.
Please keep in mind that many internet sites such as TakeLessons.com, MelodyMusicStudio’s, PlayMusicBetter.com, Baltimore School for Drumming, Music Workshop School, are nothing more then a referral service, similar to a booking agency!
When you sign up at Grant Menefee Studio of Drumming, you will study with me and ONLY me.
Can you tell me about your credential and experience?
Beside teaching at my studio, I have been an instructor at Towson University for 15 years. I am also an active drummer in the Baltimore, Washington and Virginia areas, therefore I know what is needed to perform on the professional level. See my full bio.
Be aware of teachers that do not have either the credential or the experience. Unfortunately some of the teachers in the area, may lack these important skills or may be teaching at a music store or through a website temporary just to put their foot in the door.
How do I really know if a teacher is good?
A teacher is only as good as the success of his students. Take a look of some my former students.
Do you teach only people from Catonsville?
No, some of my students they tell me that it is worth the extra drive. I offer drum lessons for the Baltimore area as well as drum lessons for people that live in Maryland. Some students are happy to drive from Washington DC as well.
DRUM INSTRUCTION BALTIMORE-Do you teach people from Baltimore?
Absolutely. My studio is only a ten minute drive from downtown Baltimore.
BALTIMORE DRUMMING-Do you take only students from the Baltimore area?
No, I teach students that come as far as Virginia and Pennsylvania.
